January 2009 – Contaminants got into some of the ground at the Poedercoating Hoogeveen site in the past. When ROTO took over Poedercoating Hoogeveen, the first steps were taken to clean up the soil. The polluted soil was excavated down to the loam layer, and the site was then backfilled with clean, certified, sand. Poedercoating Hoogeveen uses environmentally friendly powders and makes sure that waste materials are processed in the right way, reducing the burden on people and the environment to a minimum. This remediation operation means the site is entirely clean.
